Canada’s first lady of theatre has just released a new CD entitled Enchanted, celebrating the wonderful music of Rodgers and Hammerstein II.
With music direction by Rick Fox and Laura Burton, the album is a collection of popular Rodgers and Hammerstein songs including "Some Enchanted Evening." which inspired the title of the CD. Other selections from South Pacific include "A Cockeyed Optimist", "A Wonderful Guy" and the romantic classic "This Nearly Was Mine."
Enchanted also features songs from The King and I, Carousel and The Sound of Music, where Stratford Festival audiences will remember Cynthia as Maria von Trapp in the Festival's 2001 production.

NOTHIN' LIKE THIS DAME
"If, like a lot of us, you've been humming segments of the delicious score for South Pacific for the last few weeks, then here's some good news. Several of those songs -- just part of the magnificent musical legacy of the songwriting duo of Rodgers and Hammerstein -- are part of Cynthia Dale's newest disk, titled simply Cynthia Dale: Enchanted.
Mind you, with numbers like Some Enchanted Evening, If I Loved You, Love, Look Away and I Have Dreamed -- all served up in Dale's inimitable style -- it could as easily have been titled Enchanting." - Toronto Sun
